Representatives of the Arab Gulf Polish Business Club along with the Club's partners once again held a delegation to Ras Al Khaimah, located in the northern part of the United Arab Emirates. Meetings with local authorities as well as representatives of the local business have resulted in the signing of several important contracts. This visit will surely bring the club and its members visible benefits and opportunities for the development of business relations between Poland and the UAE.

  • Al Marjan
Representatives of the Arab Gulf Polish Business Club have signed an agreement granting exclusivity to represent interests of Al Marjan in Poland, a complex of artificially created islands in Ras Al Khaimah. This region is becoming an increasingly popular destination for tourists and entrepreneurs wishing to enter the UAE market. The Al Marjan project has potentially huge economic and investment opportunities. Specific plots on the islands have already been reserved for the Arab Gulf Polish Business Club, next to the EMAAR investment, a leading development company in the Emirates.
During the delegation, the agreements with RAKEZ was also signed. It is a unit established by the government of the UAE to oversee, regulate and consolidate services and facilities in the RAK Free Economic Zone. Over 1,300 companies from around the world from 50 different industries are operating successfully in the zone. The signed agreements will bring many benefits to the club's future activities in supporting Polish companies in operating on that UAE market.

During the delegation, representatives of the club had a great pleasure of meeting many leading businessmen doing business in the United Arab Emirates. One of them was Mohammad Saleh the head of the FEWA company ( Federal Electricity and Water Authority) that is providing water and electricity services for people in United Arab Emirates.

It was also an honor to have a conversation with sheik Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr-Quasimi, a member of RAK government, responsible for transport. The meeting provided us with a lot of interesting information regarding the planned extension of Ras Al Khaimah airport.

All these meetings helped to broaden the contacts and opened the door for further cooperation with the Middle East, which we will probably observe in the nearest future.
